I know it is hard to believe, but time has passed quickly and we are once again planning another fun reunion.  This time it is our 60th.  We had a meeting last Monday and actually set the date.  I'm hoping we can get a letter out to everyone within the next month with more details.  Until then, here are the dates we have reserved.

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 - casual event - visiting, etc.....
Wednesday, September 11, 2019 - casual event with dinner and possibly music by Jim Reid and his band.....and lots more visiting!

You are probably wondering why we would choose to do a midweek party.  Other classes who have done this recently have shared very positive comments with us.  So we decided to try it too.

Please mark your calendars and save these dates so we can gather once again and share friendships, stories, and updates about our lives.  If you have any news and would like to share it, please feel free to add something to our website.  Any questions, please give me a call or send an email.  Also any updated email addresses, phone numbers, or physical address changes.

On September 26, 27, & 28 we had a very fun and enjoyable 55th year reunion.  Some of the ladies gathered on Friday for lunch at Southfork Grill and had fun getting reacquainted and shared stories with one another.  Friday evening was our informal get together at the Walla Walla Brew Pub on East Main Street.  It was very well attended!  On Saturday there were various activities – golf, wine tasting, visiting, shopping, etc.   Late afternoon many of us went to Dick and Mary Ann Gray’s home for a pre-party function on their deck.  It was very gracious of Dick and Mary Ann to open their beautiful home once again to all of us.  Saturday evening our barbeque dinner at the Country Club was a huge success.  The atmosphere seemed more relaxed this year and everyone appeared to have a great evening.  During the program there was discussion and a vote taken to pay from our accumulated account the following:

$449.99 to continue our website for another five years

$500.00 donation from the Wa-Hi Class of 1959 to the Walla Walla Public High Schools Scholarship Fund.  The Walla Walla Public High Schools Scholarship Fund was designed to offer College Scholarship assistance to graduates from Walla Walla Public High Schools.

We invite you to go on line at
bluemountainfoundation.org and read more information about this fund.

The remainder of the evening we were entertained by a band, The Gems, including classmate Jim Reid, who is a band member guitarist.  They played songs from the 50’s and 60’s and a lot of us danced until the band finished around eleven P.M.  Our committee heard many praises for how much everyone enjoyed the weekend, and most commented it might have been the best one ever.  So, yes, we will plan to gather once again in five years to celebrate our 60th!

Check out the pictures in the photo section of this website.  We did not do a group picture this year, but some snapshots were taken.  If any of you have more, please post them on this website.  It is very easy to do, but if you have any problem, give me a call or email the photos to me and I will be happy to post them for you.
