After high school I moved to Dayton for six years, then back to Walla Walla and went to community college.  I took some classes and then I moved to Medford, OR.  I was hired by the school district and worked in a Resource room for three years.  I moved back to Walla Walla and was hired by the school district working as a Special Education Aid.  I was at Garrison Junior High for 10 years.  I then moved back to Dayton and was employed as a bookkeeper to an automotive repair shop for 10 years and also managed a motel for over two years.  I moved back to Walla Walla and back to community college and started my own business of being a home health C.N.A.  I also helped open the new Holiday Inn Express as their breakfast hostess.  I like learning and doing different types of jobs, but have finally found what I really like to do, and that is take care of the elderly in their homes.  For the past three years I have been taking care of my mother, having moved her into my home.  She is a 2-person care, so have help, but it is almost a 24/7 job.  When I do get a chance to get out of the house, my favorite place to be is at Gary Buttice's cabin in the Blue Mountains, just sitting on the porch and listening to the quiet, watching whatever wild life comes around and reading.  Before Mom needed care, I liked to travel the back roads to small out-of-the-way communities, walk through their community and visit with the local people, learn the history of their town and visit.  I am looking forward to being able to do that again.

Lynden Lee Walters passed away at

Harborview Hospital in Seattle on Sunday,

Oct. 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the age of

75 years.

Lynden is survived and lovingly remembered by her

husband, Harold Kenneth Walters; her daughter, Rebecca

Anne Feigner; and her sons, Jason Scott Feigner

and Kenneth Darrel Feigner.

Lynden was born Lynden Lee Ekstrom in Klamath

at family gatherings during the holidays. At Christmas

she loved to pick out the most beautiful Christmas

tree she could find so the family could decorate

the tree together. She loved the ocean and family reunions

at Kalaloch, walks along the beach and talking

around the campfire. Near the close of her life

she enjoyed learning about the Catholic faith and became

a member of the St. Mary of the Valley Catholic

Church in Monroe, Wash.

Lynden will be fondly remembered for her great legacy

of heartfelt love for her husband, her children, her

grandchildren, her extended family and her friends.

From reading a favorite story or poem to her child to

offering unwavering comfort and support to a friend

or relative, her spirit of love, kindness and generosity

will continue to be an inspiration to us all. She is

greatly loved and will be missed dearly.
